Marshland Hall Roll of Honour - fifteenth portrait.

Caption

This frame was the last of the photographic Roll of Honour to be unveiled during the comlimentary welcome
home social organised for three Marshland men; Henry F Earl, George Crozier and Arthur Lowe. This took place on
Wednesday 10 September 1919 at the Marshland Hall. Arthur Lowe's portrait appears in the frame and he was the only one
of the three returning soldiers able to attend. He had received a severe gunshot wound to the left arm in the last days
of the War and had returned home in late April 1919 to undergo further treatment.

The portraits are:

  • Private William Robert Guthrie (78689)
  • Private Thomas Richard Crocker (31230) - awarded D.C.M.
  • Private Edward George Fuller (82226)
  • Private Ernest Thomas Hawken (53728)
  • Private William Frank Basher (74461)
  • Rifleman Arthur Lowe (68608)

Unveiled by Mrs W C Arnst
