Topic type:
Situated in the grounds of the Hornby Primary School, the memorial records soldiers from the First and Second World Wars.
The memorial, originally an artesian pump, was erected in 1921 in the form of a wall for the people of Hornby and Islington who lost their lives in the World War I.
In 2008 the names of those soldiers from Hornby who perished in all conflicts were added.
