A bronze statue with biographical details of Nicholas was erected on the banks of the Avon River on 7 March 2007, near the Bridge of Remembrance.
A memorial to Henry Nicholas was unveiled on Wednesday 7 March 2007 at the Park of Remembrance - near the Bridge of Remembrance. – northwest of the Bridge of Remembrance on Cambridge Terrace.
The larger-than-life bronze statue is mounted on a stone gifted from Le Quesnoy.
The memorial was commissioned by the Canterbury District Returned and Services' Association (RSA) and the Christchurch City Council.
The bronze statue was created by Mark Whyte.
