Son of the late William Henry and Honor Ann James of Christchurch

Died 13th December 1915 aged 30

Otago Regiment NZEF / Private with the Otago Infantry Battalion

Embarked 13th June 1915 to 24th July 1915 from Wellington NZ to Suez, Egypt

Killed in action – bullet through the abdomen.

Name on the Chunuk Bair Memorial

Medals – British War medal and the Victory Medal, both sent to his mother.
