A Christchurch City Libraries WW100 project to create biographies for soldiers listed on memorials in the Christchurch area.
To commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the First World War staff at Christchurch City Libraries created biographies for a number of men and women from the district who had their names recorded on various memorials, honour rolls and plaques.
A number of libraries also held displays or events that shared these stories with their communities.
