September 2010:

Tower of the building was damaged and pulling away from the roof and masonry walls at first floor level.  There was extensive cracking throughout the building.

The tower was stabilised and strapped to enable the neighbouring takeaway shop to open

February 2011:

Further damage caused to the building. 

West facade – wall pulled away from ceiling above stairs by 10-15mm, new crack observed between 1st floor window and ground floor door

East façade – tower has pulled away from building over a greater height, 15mm crack observed in tower and east wall at first floor level, veneer above 1st floor window fallen out with associated 10mm outward movement of wall

South façade -  tower has pulled away from building over a greater height (10mm crack at 1st floor increasing to 15mm above)

Interior - significant crack has formed running west east in internal wall to north of tower, tower has pulled away at ceiling level by between 10-15mm, south west pier supporting the tower has developed a vertical crack.
